AIM North America is a trade association for the Automatic Identification and Data Capture (AIDC) industry. The AIDC industry represents manufacturers, consultants, system integrators, and users involved in technologies that include bar code, radio frequency identification (RFID), and their associated industries. AIM is the global source for technically accurate, unbiased, commercial-free and up-to-date information on all AIDC.

AABB is an international association representing individuals and institutions involved in activities related to transfusion and cellular therapies, including transplantation medicine. AABB member facilities are responsible for collecting virtually all of the nation’s blood supply and transfusing more than 80 percent of all blood and blood components used in the United States.
AABB supports the highest standards of medical, technical and administrative performance; scientific investigation; and clinical application through standard setting, accreditation, education, advocacy and other activities. The association also is dedicated to increasing public awareness of the importance of voluntary blood donation.

As a non-profit organization connecting health care facilities throughout the world, ICCBBA manages, develops and licenses ISBT 128, the international information standard for blood and tissue identification, labeling, transfusion and transplantation. Through its information management systems, licensing practices, and educational initiatives, ICCBBA operates to ensure compatibility of ISBT.
